  1. 1999/2000 IAF1GPC Datafile for F1GP-Ed - Release 1 (9.10.99)

  4. Please read all of this document:
  5.  
  6. This archive contains the official championship datafile installer.
  7. It will create a legal IAF1GPC datafile for use with F1GP-Ed.  Datafiles
  8. for the Ace, Pro and Beginner series are different, so ensure that you
  9. choose the correct series in the installer...
  10.  
  11. INSTALLATION
  12. ------------

  14. To install the datafile, simply double-click the "Make_IAF1GPC_Datafile"
  15. icon, and follow the instructions.  When participating in a championship
  16. event, you must use the newly created datafile with F1GP-Ed.
  17.  
  18. IMPORTANT NOTES
  19. ---------------

  21. You are not permitted to change any settings in the datafile created by
  22. the installer, apart from those described in this document.  If you need to
  23. make any changes, you must run it through the installer again to ensure it
  24. complies with the rules.

  26. You *must* use driver number 39 (in team number 12) when participating in
  27. championship events.  Obviously, you may alter the names and colours for
  28. your team and driver, if necessary.  If you specify your usual datafile in
  29. the installer will try to determine which team you usually use and it'll
  30. copy this into the correct position, leaving the names and colours
  31. untouched.

  33. SPEED & RISK FACTORS
  34. --------------------

  36. Registered F1GP-Ed users who have enough memory in their Amiga to use the
  37. local speed and risk factor patches in F1GP-Ed should install them.
  38.  
  39. Alternatively, you must manually copy the respective speed and risk
  40. factor values (from the local speed and risk factor patch windows) into the
  41. global speed and risk factor settings in the team editor window before you
  42. start each round of the championship (i.e. for each circuit).
